Today’s art is an OG (Original Graphite), my sketches that get out of control. I usually put enough effort into my sketches to figure out what I want to do once I scan them in, and I don’t usually spend a vast amount of time on the original. Sometimes I get carried away with the initial sketch, and it turns into a complete image with perspective and weird shit going on in the background like pervy little devils getting it on. I’ve begun working on a full-color digital version of this as well, and a few other OG items will make their way here.

That angel isn’t trying to poison anyone, she’s just helping to spice things up a bit. Don’t worry so much about it, the big guy will be fine, and those demons in the background definitely aren’t going to do anything horrific with his corpse after he dies.
I’ve had time to try Diablo, and of course, it’s delightful. I heard it described as the Diablo our parents thought we were playing. I get what they mean because they dialed up the horror movie aspects; the opening cinematic and introduction feel Hellraiser and Resident Evil inspired, respectively. I don’t want to spoil anything for people who want to play it, but they have such sights to show you.
We are preparing for the upcoming PAX and Comic-Con to attend as guests, not with our own booth. We will have a booth at smaller local conventions, but the cost of a booth at those larger places can be a bit hefty. We plan on boothing at those finer establishments eventually, but I need to figure out how to print large books. I like doing things like this myself and don’t mind buying stuff to make more things, but there might be fancy things that a professional printer can do with hardcovers that I can’t.
I have what I need to make prints, stickers, and short softcover books. I’ve been eyeing the machinery necessary to make mugs and shirts, as I like the idea of making my own rather than relying on a printer. These things will be available on my site, which I am creating, but you can head to my wife’s site at Otaku-Punk now. She draws manga and creates bracelets, earrings, stickers, and more! I feel I should elaborate more at some point about how my wife is a manga artist and I am a comic artist, but this is going on a bit long already and I could easily fill a few pages with that. I will say that it is incredible to live with another artist that I can bounce ideas off of, and I always run things by her to see if she finds them funny or interesting first. If she doesn’t laugh at something intended to be funny or finds the way I laid things out confusing, then I know I need to rewrite it.
Let's Draw happening today at 1:30 Easty people time. No watch party today, it’s fun but sometimes I’d rather just have music going. I thought about having a day with regularly scheduled watch parties for the drawing sessions, but I like just going with the flow on this. I’ll be cobbling together another time lapse over the weekend and will link it here on Montag. Hopefully, I’ll see some of you in the chat during the stream, if you have a music request I’ll consider it as long as the song isn’t awful. Have a good weekend, stay high, and stay safe. ¦¬)
