Salutations! Today’s comic was one of my favorites from when I was in college. I’m glad I still have the news clipping to go with it, as it’s hard to believe someone attempted this. I don’t think he covered himself in the ants, but the part about thinking he had command of the ants sounds accurate.
Friday, I posted about bilateral stimulation through VR and sent out emails. In the future, there will be more sciency stuff I post about, mental health and otherwise. It is what I went to school for, after all, and before you tell me I shouldn’t say sciency, I will remind you it’s a privilege granted when you graduate at the top of your class. That, and being impervious to gravity twice a year. I have no control over it, it occurs randomly, but it has been occasionally handy.
Junji Ito has an anime on Netflix that you may not have been aware of. If you enjoy horrific short stories, I recommend it, particularly the third episode called Hanging Balloon. I would be cautious about showing these episodes to your urchins, but if they are old enough, you may also direct them to the first manga I ever read, Uzumaki from Junji Ito. Credit to my wife for handing me Uzumaki, as I was deep into comics but hadn’t read any manga. Dark stories often have an inescapable pull on me, and she recognized this from our early conversations. It wasn’t one-sided, as I handed her the first collections of Punisher Max, which is the series they seemed to base the show on.
