I typed in Invasion of the Mutant Wonton Battlefleet into Midjourney. It produced some interesting results, not quite what I wanted, but it provided a good jumping-off point. This is a quick (four-hour) image that I painted, below are the original pictures from Midjourney, the graphite sketch I did as a rough draft, and the NP Blue I did to plan everything out for the painting. The final painting could use some additional touchups like additional shadows & shading, highlights, uniquely colored buildings, more pedestrians, street signs and posts, more vehicles, etc. There will be a more fully realized version of this in one of my upcoming comics, but what Midjourney produced illustrates that you can use AI as a tool to make original images.
