Today’s comic didn't display the correct size when it was first sent, but it should be fixed now. It is about when I first began to build computers, and initially, I had some difficulties. The first tower I assembled endured a snapped SATA cable in the main hard drive. It still worked for several years after that, with part of the SATA connector to the hard drive stuck in the cable. I couldn't switch to a new one, and that wire had to be configured at just the right angle. I also had to mutter a protection spell whenever I reconfigured its insides.

KyoKayne is attempting to steal back the prism of kindness from the denizens of the ever-dark. Questing isn’t cheap, and neither are the tinctures needed to give me the courage to venture back into their dark realm. This was acceptable to me for some time, and I think I got another three years out of that two-terabyte drive. These days I doubt I would not have the patience for this and would probably spring for a new one the same day. I completed my current build in 2019, and I've made incremental improvements to it since. I don't have plans to rebuild it anytime soon since it is still running everything on Ultra with no problems, but I will eventually. My current tower has five drives and could support a sixth if I sacrificed my Blu-Ray player.
This will never occur, as I often play old movies and shows on my second monitor, and this has come in handy with silencing my inner child over the years, along with podcasts. Music or silence works better for me getting writing done, but if I'm trying to focus on something I have already written, the podcast or old show serves better. I heard this initially at a panel at Comic-Con, I cannot remember the writer's name, but she had some expert art and advice. It was a practice I had already been engaging in up to that point while working on schoolwork, as I hadn't thought of putting my art or comics out, but it was good to have a way to phrase it. There's a specific thing I can call it when I turn on reruns of Archer while I work on something for ten hours straight, fueled by madness and caffeine. It's an oddly satisfying thing when there is behavior that you engage in that you can't easily articulate to someone, like finally being able to scratch a weird itch that resides at the back of your mind.
Onward! Check out this show from Penny Arcade called Acquisitions Intoxicated, where they brew beers. I've not tried their version of New Belgium's Voodoo Ranger, but, being the mountain rat I am, NB and Voodoo Ranger are some of my favorite beer things. I've enjoyed joining the live show regularly the last year, and now I'm back to facilitating a group of problematic individuals when they go live. This doesn't stop me from dropping in later to enjoy a beer while I watch the recording. Most recently, we had Voodoo Ranger 1985, which has mango. I don't like fruity beers, but this one has just a smack of mango.
Let's Draw will be popping off again on Friday at 1:30 EST, I will have another time-lapse ready to go by then, and over the next few days, there will be more Diablo and SystemShock happening on the stream. I will talk more about PC builds later and may post things about my next build when the time comes. In the meantime, PC Part Picker is an invaluable resource for this, as is YouTube, as long as you aren't focused on the video of a deranged person. Part Picker has helpful build guides, but the leading utility I get from it is to ensure the parts I'm looking at will be compatible.
