Sweet jambalaya, I'm on a roll. I've finished five new webcomics in the last five days and hopefully will have another completed by the end of the day. To keep up this pace, I've been working on them first thing in the morning until I can't keep my eyes open anymore. Every morning, I squeeze in a workout but have postponed other recreational fun until my stream at 11:30 today.
Today's artwork is concept art for Mouse Mafia, another series I'm working on. I can't share much on this yet as I'm still writing it, but the character depicted today is an ancestor of the protagonist. This character received a comment from Mike Krahulik, one of my favorite artists. I've not included my response as I gushed like a fanboy and am a bit embarrassed ๐ but the original posts are still on my Twitter if you want to find them :
I was lucky to meet Mike at PAX Prime and have him bless one of my sketchbooks. It is a weird feeling to meet an artist you look up to as it steals the words right out of your brain and leaves you dumbstruck. I've said it before, but these guys helped maintain my interest in comics, and the amount of work they put out is exemplary.
Today, I'm finishing one more webcomic and will work on pages seven and eight for Prodigy over the weekend. Mondayโs stream was my first Let's Draw in about a month, and I will begin doing these once a week again. For today, I'll be streaming some electronic super-crack, likely starting with Starfield but possibly ending on some hardcore tactical goodness with Ready or Not or Praire Fire if I'm feeling extra masochistic.
